Joy-Con Drift In A Browser

Joy-Con drift often appears as a center offset: the stick reports movement even while untouched. The browser can show that offset when the controller is exposed through the Gamepad API.

Use the result as a condition check, not a repair claim. Severe drift usually needs cleaning, calibration in system tools, warranty service or stick module replacement.

Switch Drift Workflow

Measure the resting center first, then confirm whether the stick also has uneven outer travel.

Rest Sample

Keep the stick untouched and measure center offset.

Deadzone Estimate

Use the largest offset to choose a practical game deadzone.

Circularity Pass

Rotate the stick to check full-gate travel and worn edges.
